Bike Won't Start (No Click)

Step 1 of 4
"You turn the key... nothing. Not even a click. What now?"

The Silent Treatment

A completely dead response usually means battery failure, disconnected terminals, or a blown main fuse. When there's no click at all, the problem is usually at the power source.

Before assuming the worst, check the simple things first. A loose battery terminal can mimic a completely dead battery, and it's a much easier fix.

Corroded Battery Terminals

🎙️ Listen to Explanation

🛠️ Diagnostic Steps:

  1. Check battery terminals for looseness or corrosion
  2. Measure battery voltage (should be >11.5V)
  3. Check main fuse continuity

In this lesson, you'll learn:

  • How to diagnose a completely unresponsive motorcycle
  • The importance of battery terminals and connections
  • How to check battery voltage properly
  • The role of the main fuse in the starting circuit
